Raja Monkey Cafe, 1355 Stratford Rd, Hall Green, Birmingham
I visited Raja Monkey this week to see for myself what the 'Indian Street Cafe' was all about and was pleasantly surprised.

Firstly, it was buzzing with an atmosphere reminiscent of a good food joint; the chatter of jovial customers clearly enjoying their food and surroundings, the visible chefs being kept busy with steady orders and the aroma of freshly cooked cuisine. All a good sign!

And if that wasn't enough, there was a culinary celebrity also savouring their delights; the two Michelin starred Michael Caines MBE (http://www.michaelcaines.com/about-michael/biography), whose own restaurant was voted the number one restaurant by Sunday Times Food List in 2013! As Michael was leaving, he was profusely offering his thanks to the Raja Monkey staff and commenting how much he enjoyed their food. Another good sign!

I won't go into specifics of what I ate as everyone has particular tastes but being an avid meat eater, their Rajasthani Thali (mutton) hit the spot, followed by an extra rich mango lassi.

Anyway, don't take my word for it, check it out for yourself or see a more detailed review from the mail below:
