Julian Rifat, a former hedge fund manager at Moore Capital, has pleaded guilty today to one count of insider dealing.

Mr Rifat entered his plea at Southwark Crown Court to the charge filed by the UK financial regulator, reports Caroline Binham.

His plea follows his arrest in 2010 as part of high-profile raids in a probe codenamed Tabernula.

His guilty plea follows that of his alleged co-conspirator, Graeme S-ey, earlier this year. Mr Rifat will be sentenced in due course.
