While other automakers opt for performance hot rods, Kia is bringing its own version of an ice cream truck to the SEMA trade show.

SEMA is a major event in the auto industry, the premiere after-market parts show that cashes in on the customization craze. Automakers vie to see who can come up the more original personalization ideas.

This year, it may be hard to beat what Kia has done with its little Soul crossover. With round hubcaps instead of spoked wheels, the Kia ice cream truck may come across as a little nerdy. But at least it's different.

The car will promote an ice cream brand called Smitten. There's a small matching travel trailer, too.
